20th Anniversary Appeal

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who nominated us for a ‘Movement for Good’ award last month. We were awarded £1000. This is a great example of how the Jericho community of volunteers, churches and supporters come together to create big impact for the women we serve.
 
This year JRP is celebrating our 20 year anniversary. We have lots to celebrate and be thankful for! One of which is the wonderful and consistent support we have received over the years, enabling us to still be here, even in the midst of a pandemic and lockdown.

There’s lots of work for us to do and we are keen to do it, however we’re in real need of funding for core costs. That’s why we are launching a 20th anniversary appeal aiming to raise £20,000. This is equivalent to two months’ costs, covering the general running of the project and some staff salaries, making all we do possible.

We are working hard to raise funds in a range of ways. Our team of trustees and our staff fundraiser have already succeeded in some great applications during lockdown, and we have been so blessed to work with donors like Hope Nottingham who are giving specific goods to our #scriptYR project. But we need core costs to continue the work we’re doing to serve women across Nottingham who are affected by the sex industry.

We know that money may be tight for many at the moment, but any contribution towards this goal would be amazing. We recognise this is a big sum, but we also know what can happen when our community comes together. Big things can happen.

Thank you to everyone who gives and to everyone who prays. We don’t often create a direct appeal like this. We felt that, with a need like this, our community of volunteers, supporters and friends would like us to share it with them. We’re very grateful for your ongoing support.
