Benefact Trust Grant

The Benefact Trust (https://benefacttrust.co.uk/) is a grant funder that helps Churches and Christian charities to fund their ministries, especially those who support vulnerable and marginalised people.

Last year, we were awarded £42,800 (spread over 3 years) by the Benefact Trust to help fund our work in wellbeing and mental health for our service users. We’re so thankful for this generous grant which helps to fund our wellbeing groups Kintsugi Hope and Create: New Beginnings.

Kintsugi Hope is a wellbeing course created to help people understand difficult emotions. It helps to provide individuals with the tools they need to navigate these emotions, and understand themselves better in the process.

Create: New Beginnings is an art therapy course, initially gifted to us by the Prison Fellowship (https://www.prisonfellowship.org/), designed to help women in prison to understand complex thoughts and emotions.

The funding from the grant from the Benefact Trust allows us to run these courses throughout the year, meeting our service users’ emotional and spiritual needs in a structured and consistent way.
